a summer day camp program for children affected by cancer

Giving — How you can support Nancamp

Since its inception as a non-profit organization in 1991, Nancamp has sponsored over 400 kids whose lives are affected by cancer to the Lynch/Van Otterloo YMCA Summer Day Camps and the Jewish Community Center’s Camp Simchah on the Hill. Children attend age appropriate programs including:

Nancamp’s goal each summer is to provide a minimum of 30 kids with this special opportunity to escape from the awful pressure, sadness and fear cancer is causing in their young lives, whether the cancer is their own or that of a family member.

In 2010, for example, Nancamp sent to camp six children who have been treated for cancer, twelve children whose mothers have cancer, eight siblings of a child with cancer, four children whose mother recently passed away, and two children whose father recently passed away.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, all camp fees and reasonable associated expenses, such as transportation, are covered by the Nancy Bostley Memorial Fund.

We would welcome your support for Nancamp, and ask that you consider making a contribution to this unique program for children. When giving to Nancamp, please know that we are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
